| Jane Iredale
has always believed that makeup should be as good for
the skin as it is aesthetically pleasing. With
this in mind, she developed a comprehensive line of
natural mineral cosmetics in 1994 and has successfully
marketed it to plastic surgeons, dermatologists and
aestheticians as The Skin Care Makeup.
Jane Iredale is the perfect choice for
consumers looking for a natural, healthy alternative to
conventional cosmetics. Jane's products:
- Are composed of inert minerals that
cannot support bacteria
- Contain no fillers, like talc
- Present virtually no allergy risk as they are
completely free of sensitizers like perfumes,
chemical dyes and preservatives
- Are anti-inflammatory and help to calm and soothe
irritated skin
- Provide broad-spectrum UVB and UVA protection as high
as SPF20
- Provide complete coverage for skin conditions such as
acne and rosacea, and redness following treatments such
as chemical peels and laser resurfacing
- Are non-comedogenic, so they will not block pores
- Are very water resistant as rated by an approved FDA
lab
- Are not tested on animals
Jane Iredale introduced her unique
skin care makeup line in May of 1994. It was the
first full makeup line on the market to offer not just
color enhancement, but also benefits for the skin.
The products are based on micronized minerals and are
made without fillers and binders (such as talc and
mineral oil) and without chemical dyes or preservatives.
As a result, the Iredale products are carried by
destination spas, salons, and medical clinics throughout
the world.
With the introduction of liquid
minerals in 2003 , Iredale took makeup as skin care to
the next level, Liquid minerals was the first liquid
makeup to use state-of-the-art PML (liposome) technology
to combine light-diffusing, soft-focus minerals with
anti- aging ingredients such as Vitamin C, Vitamin K,
Hyaluronic Acid and Coenzyme Q10. This utterly
unique form of encapsulation allows the active
ingredients to be delivered into the skin by up to 40
percent. The result is a measurable improvement in
the appearance, feel and health of the skin.
Iredale has expanded the use of liposome
technology to her lip, concealer, mascara and brow
products, enhancing the conditioning and moisturizing
properties of all. Last year, she introduced
Disappear, a concealer with such concentrated pigment
that it even covers black tattoos. Absence, an oil
control primer, continued to build upon this technology,
using Hydrated Silica as a liposome to help control oil
and shine; controlling oil not only keeps makeup matte
all day, it helps prevent color change. Most
recently, Iredale added edible zinc to the liposome
formula for her LipColours, resulting in an SPF18 for
the ultimate in lip protection!
With such technology racing ahead, the future mineral
makeup looks bright indeed. |
